A Study in Proportion and Profile
Rectangular bar cufflinks sit at the foundation of the Links of London gentleman’s collection. From its earliest years, the house was built upon cufflinks — precise forms in sterling silver, engineered with restraint and finished to a high polish.

This rectangular example reflects that original design language. The face measures 20mm x 12mm and is formed with a flat front and softly curved reverse, creating a D-shaped profile in cross-section. At 3mm thick, the proportion carries quiet architectural presence without excess.

Construction and Engineering
The cufflink front is connected via a curved bar to an oval reverse plate measuring 14mm x 9mm. The swivel fitting operates through a traditional torpedo mechanism, allowing ease of fastening while maintaining structural integrity.

The D-shaped profile serves both aesthetic and functional purpose. The flat exterior presents a clean formal plane, while the curved back softens contact against the cuff. The result is a balanced silhouette that sits naturally when worn.

Hallmark and Silver Standard
The connecting bars are hallmarked with the LL sponsor’s mark and 925 fineness stamp, together with a UK date letter confirming full assay. The oval reverse plates bear the Links of London three-ring logo.

Fully hallmarked sterling silver production remained central to the house’s gentleman’s collection, reinforcing its position within the tradition of British silver craftsmanship.
Formal Restraint
Unembellished rectangular cufflinks represent one of the purest expressions of British formal jewellery. Without engraving, enamel or inlay, the design relies entirely on proportion, surface and finish.

Within the Links of London archive, such pieces reflect the house’s original identity as a cufflink-led brand. They remain composed, precise and architecturally disciplined in form.
