At Links London, every piece tells a story, and our first new collections—Roxi and Leila—are no exception. These designs mark the beginning of a new era for Links London, blending heartfelt inspiration with timeless craftsmanship.
As we revive the spirit of Links London, we are excited to share the journey behind the creation of these meaningful collections, rooted in friendship, resilience, and remembrance.
The Inspiration Behind Leila
The Leila Collection began as a conversation over coffee. While working on the Links London website, we showed a prototype menu to a friend—let’s call her Leila. Her attention was immediately drawn to an image of a heart pendant on a black silk ribbon.

Although this image was only placeholder clip art, it sparked an idea: to create a timeless heart charm that captures the simplicity and elegance of the design. With her input, the heart charm evolved into the first prototype for the Leila Collection, celebrating the beauty of connection and the power of collaboration.

Key Features of the Leila Collection:
- Mirror-polished heart charms
- Black silk rope necklaces and bracelets
- Versatile designs for everyday elegance
The Meaning Behind Roxi
The Roxi Collection carries a deeper, more emotional resonance. It is inspired by personal stories of loss and resilience, created as a tribute to those who navigate life’s challenges with strength and grace.

The first Roxi prototype was engraved using a vintage manual engraving machine, reflecting the handcrafted artistry that defines this collection. The charm’s imperfections and variable depth in the engraving add character and authenticity, making it a piece that feels deeply personal.

Key Features of the Roxi Collection:
- Customisable engraved heart pendants and charms
- Magnetic clasps for convenience and sophistication
- Black silk rope necklaces with additional colour options

Crafting the Prototypes
Both collections started with a single polished heart charm. Using a vintage manual engraving machine—a tool synonymous with precision and artisanal craft—we brought the designs to life. While manual engraving has its challenges, it offers a depth and authenticity that computerised engraving cannot replicate.

This behind-the-scenes process was more than just a technical exercise; it was a labour of love, reflecting our commitment to meaningful design and British craftsmanship.
