A 2000s Executive Writing Instrument with Original Leather Case
During the 2000s, Links of London expanded beyond jewellery into a refined range of lifestyle and executive accessories. Among these were writing instruments designed to complement the brand’s broader aesthetic — polished, restrained and discreetly branded.

This silver plated rollerball pen originates from that period.
Design & Construction
The pen features a vertically fluted barrel finished in silver plating, creating controlled light reflection and subtle texture. A central band engraved “LINKS LONDON” provides understated identification consistent with the brand’s design language of the time.

The lower section is crafted in black resin, tapering gently from 12mm to 10mm at the grip for balanced writing comfort. The cap is a friction fit removable design, finished with polished silver plated trim and a matching silver plated clip.

Unlike twist ballpoint mechanisms, the capped format gives the pen a more traditional writing instrument profile.

Writing Instruments Within the Brand
Links of London writing instruments were positioned as refined executive desk objects rather than specialist fountain pen manufacturer pieces. They were designed as gift-oriented accessories that extended the brand’s polished British identity into professional settings.

Production ceased prior to the company’s liquidation in 2019. As a result, preserved examples retaining original packaging are finite.
