The Recessed Beaded Border
Around the edge of the oval runs a recessed line of small rounded bead details.
This subtle border is easy to miss at first glance, but it gives the ring much of its character. The beads sit within a narrow channel around the perimeter, creating a soft frame around the otherwise uninterrupted oval face.

A Later-Production Example
A surviving UK size N example is marked S925, carries the Links of London three-ring logo and is hallmarked LL, 925.
No date letter is visible.
That style of marking is consistent with later Links of London production, but without a date letter an exact manufacture year should not be assigned.

Professional Restoration
A surviving gold example has been professionally cleaned and polished before receiving a fresh layer of 18ct gold plating.
That restoration renews the surface while preserving the original sterling silver ring beneath.
Although the historic version was sold as gold vermeil, a restored piece is best described according to the finish it has today. Unless the new plating thickness is independently confirmed to meet the technical definition of vermeil, 18ct gold plated sterling silver is the more precise description.
