This vintage sterling silver dog charm from the former Links of London company is modelled with a low, elongated body, upright tail and long ears. Its form may suggest a Dachshund, but we have not located documentation confirming the design’s official breed name.
The charm measures approximately 22mm long, 12mm high and 6mm wide, or approximately 15mm high including the jump ring. Its oval bail measures approximately 9mm × 7mm and can accommodate a suitable necklace or bracelet up to approximately 5mm wide.
The bail carries LL and 925 marks with a 2009 date letter. We consider those marks alongside the complete hallmark evidence, construction and design details when assessing the piece. The date letter relates to assay in 2009; it does not establish the design’s release or manufacture date.
The recorded intervention is professional cleaning and polishing. No additional repair or remodelling is recorded. Please review the photographs for the current surface condition.
Its long-bodied form may suggest a Dachshund, but we have not located documentation confirming the design’s official name or breed.
We assess the marks together with the complete hallmark evidence, construction, design and condition. The LL and 925 marks and 2009 date letter support that assessment but are not treated as automatic proof when considered alone.
It relates to the assay evidence for this individual piece, not necessarily the design’s release or manufacture year.
The recorded intervention is professional cleaning and polishing. No additional repair or remodelling is recorded.
