This vintage Links of London trinket box is formed as a compact round sterling silver box with a fitted hinged lid inset with mother of pearl. The lid has a shallow concave dish form rather than a flat top, which gives the piece a dual character as both a small lidded box and a small trinket dish when viewed from above. The contrast between the polished silver body and the softly iridescent mother-of-pearl surface gives the design a clean but distinctive presence.

The box measures approximately 69mm in diameter and 22mm in overall height. The base section is approximately 18mm deep, although the concave dish form of the lid reduces the internal depth at the centre.
