This vintage sterling silver Dog in Bag charm from the former Links of London company depicts a small dog emerging from a structured handbag. The compact three-dimensional design measures approximately 10mm high, 5mm wide and 3mm deep.
The dog’s head and ears rise above the top of the bag, giving the small form a clear silhouette. An oval bail measuring approximately 9mm × 7mm allows the charm to be worn on suitable necklaces or bracelets up to approximately 5mm wide.
The bail carries LL and 925 marks with a 2009 date letter. We consider those marks alongside the complete hallmark evidence, construction and design details when assessing the piece. The date letter relates to assay in 2009; it does not establish the design’s release or manufacture date.
The charm has been professionally cleaned and polished. Please review the photographs for its current surface condition and detailing.
We assess the marks together with the complete hallmark evidence, construction, design and condition. The LL and 925 marks and 2009 date letter support that assessment but are not treated as automatic proof when considered alone.
A split ring is supplied for Sweetie bracelet attachment. The oval bail can also accommodate a suitable necklace or bracelet up to approximately 5mm wide.
The charm depicts a small companion dog, but we have not located documentation confirming a particular breed.
It relates to the assay evidence for this individual piece. It is not presented as the design’s release or manufacture year.
