A refined later-period design from the original Links of London Narrative collection, this Vintage Links of London Narrative Bracelet combines three curved sterling silver sections with the fine bead detailing associated with the collection and an adjustable Friendship-style fastening.
The three semi-rigid sections each measure approximately 4mm wide × 2.5mm thick. A recessed row of small rounded beads runs along the outer edge of the sections, echoing the subtle decorative language seen across other Narrative designs.
The sections are connected by two approximately 7mm diameter rings, giving the bracelet enough articulation to sit naturally around the wrist while retaining the clean structure of a semi-rigid bangle.
At the rear, two box-style tassel chains pass through a rounded adjustable slider bead marked Links London. Moving the slider allows the bracelet to open widely for fitting and then tighten around the wrist.
The bracelet can be adjusted from approximately 5cm × 3.5cm internally at its smaller setting to around 6.5cm × 4.5cm at its larger normal wearing position.
The fastening can be opened further than this when putting the bracelet on or taking it off, so these dimensions describe the practical wearing range rather than the maximum opening of the mechanism.
Each adjustment chain measures approximately 6cm long.
The branded slider bead measures approximately 10mm in diameter × 7mm thick.
The bracelet uses the same understated beaded-edge language associated with the wider Narrative collection.
Rather than filling the surface with decoration, a fine recessed line of rounded beads follows the edge of the polished gold-finished sections. This creates texture and definition while preserving the clean overall form.
The bracelet sits between a conventional chain bracelet and a solid bangle.
Three curved rigid sections create the main body, while the two circular connectors introduce enough flexibility for the bracelet to follow the wrist comfortably.
The adjustable chain fastening then allows the overall fit to be tightened or loosened without a conventional clasp.
The rounded slider bead is based on the adjustable fastening language used across Links of London Friendship bracelets.
Two chains pass through the slider, allowing the bracelet to open widely for fitting before being drawn in to the preferred wrist size.
The two 6cm chain ends continue beyond the slider, creating the characteristic tassel effect.
This example is hallmarked LL, 925 but carries no date letter.
That marking format is consistent with later Links of London production, but without a dated hallmark we do not assign an exact manufacture year.
The bracelet has been professionally cleaned and polished before receiving a fresh layer of 18ct yellow gold plating.
Although surviving original retailer records describe this design as an 18ct gold-vermeil Narrative Bracelet, the restored surface is described here as 18ct gold plated unless the thickness of the new plating is independently confirmed to meet the technical vermeil standard.
The bracelet is in good vintage condition following professional cleaning, polishing and replating.
It is supplied in a vintage Links of London box which shows signs of age and wear from years of storage. The box should therefore be regarded as original vintage packaging rather than new presentation material.
