This vintage Links of London sterling silver doughnut charm presents a distinctive all-silver version of one of the house’s more light-hearted charm designs. The original model was produced with pink enamel icing detail, but on this example the enamel had become damaged and incomplete. Rather than leave the charm with uneven surviving enamel, the remaining enamel has been fully removed and the silver professionally cleaned and polished, creating a cleaner and more sculptural result.
The charm retains the original engraved icing pattern on both sides, so the doughnut design still reads clearly even without enamel. That gives this piece a different character from the standard enamelled version. Instead of relying on colour contrast, the design is now defined by polished sterling silver surfaces and the softly recessed icing lines worked into the form. The result is unusual, and offers a rarer opportunity to own this Links of London doughnut charm as a silver-only piece.
The doughnut itself measures approximately 12mm in diameter and around 4mm in thickness. Including the jump ring, the charm measures approximately 16mm in height. The oval bail is proportioned for wear on a bracelet or necklace and gives the piece the same practical versatility as other Links of London charms from the period.
The charm is hallmarked LL, 925 with a date letter for 2010, placing it firmly within the original Links of London production period. Those marks confirm sterling silver construction and provide a precise year within the house’s well-known charm era.
This example has been professionally cleaned and polished and is now presented in good vintage condition. The pink enamel is no longer present, having been completely removed, and the charm should therefore be understood as an all-silver version of the original design rather than as an enamel piece. The silver remains bright and the engraved icing detail is still clearly visible, giving the charm a crisp finish and a slightly more understated appearance than the standard enamelled edition.
As a result, this piece sits in an interesting place within the Links of London archive. It preserves the original doughnut form and 2010 hallmarking, while offering a cleaner monochrome look that is unlikely to be repeated in the same way. For collectors, it is both a vintage charm and an individual variation created through careful restoration of a damaged original enamel finish.
