This vintage Links of London Moskova Imperial Rouble necklace is formed around the original sterling silver pendant charm, a round disc designed in the style of a worn Russian coin. One side is detailed with a double-headed eagle framed by white topaz, while the reverse is finished with a wheatsheaf motif. The white topaz surround adds a more jewelled edge to the front without losing the softened, aged character of the original coin-inspired design.
The piece measures approximately 16mm in diameter and 2mm in thickness, with an overall height of approximately 21mm including the jump ring. Its proportions place it within the more substantial Links of London pendant and charm format, allowing it to sit comfortably at the neck with a clear and balanced presence. The standard oval bail measures approximately 9mm by 7mm and will take a necklace or bracelet up to approximately 5mm wide.
The necklace is fitted with a 2mm wide sterling silver oval link chain and a 5mm diameter bolt ring clasp. Because the pendant charm is attached through the clasp, it may be removed, changed or worn with other compatible charms if desired. That gives the piece the presence of a finished necklace while retaining the flexibility associated with Links of London charm jewellery.
This example is hallmarked LL and 925 and carries a date letter for 2006. The double-headed eagle and wheatsheaf reflect the Russian Imperial references associated with the Moskova design story, while the surrounding white topaz gives the front a more decorative finish than the plainer coin-style versions. The surface has been professionally cleaned and polished and remains in good vintage condition. As with the original design intention, the piece retains the softened appearance of a vintage Russian coin, so the finish is not intended to read as sharply modern.
Worn as a necklace, the Moskova Imperial Rouble design takes on a slightly different character from its bracelet form. The coin-like relief, white topaz surround and larger scale give it a more pendant-led presence, while the reverse wheatsheaf detail preserves the sense of a fully resolved object rather than a flat decorative disc. The result is a finished necklace that balances ornament, history and collectable Links of London character.
This necklace is supplied as a complete ready-to-wear piece. The original charm remains the focus, while the chain format offers an elegant way to wear one of our Russian-inspired Links of London designs as a necklace rather than solely as a bracelet charm. A choice of chain lengths is available when ordering.
