Links of London Oval Blue Guilloché Enamel Cufflinks in 18ct Yellow Gold Vermeil
This pair of Links of London cufflinks reflects a more decorative and considered side of the house’s design language, combining classical enamel techniques with refined proportions and balanced form. The oval panels are finished with blue guilloché enamel, radiating from a central point to create a subtle sunburst effect beneath a translucent surface.
Each cufflink is composed of two matching oval faces, connected by a short chain link. The fronts measure approximately 18mm by 12mm with a thickness of 2mm, giving a slim, elegant profile while maintaining presence on the cuff. The connecting chains measure 21mm in length, allowing for comfortable articulation and secure fastening.
The surfaces are framed in 18ct yellow gold vermeil over a sterling silver base, providing warmth in contrast to the depth of the blue enamel. The reverse panels are plain and polished, hallmarked LL 925, confirming Links of London manufacture.
This example has been professionally cleaned and re-plated with a fresh layer of 18ct yellow gold vermeil, restoring the finish while preserving the original enamel work. The cufflinks are in good vintage condition, with light signs of age consistent with careful use.
They are presented in their original Links of London cufflink box, which shows visible wear and marking from storage over time.
The use of guilloché enamel places this design within a longer tradition of decorative metalwork, where engraved or engine-turned patterns are overlaid with enamel to create depth and movement. In this instance, Links of London interprets that tradition in a restrained, wearable form suited to formal and evening dress.
