This vintage 2005 sterling silver Russian Orthodox Cross pendant by Links of London showcases a traditional ecclesiastical design inspired by the brand’s Annoushka Collection. Introduced in the mid-2000s, the range was rooted in the founder’s personal story and heritage — blending Russian symbolism with fine British craftsmanship.
The pendant features a bold cross profile with a high-polish mirror finish, crafted in solid sterling silver. Measuring 46mm high (including the bail) by 20mm wide, it is both elegant and striking in proportion. The reverse of the cross is fully hallmarked and the front remains clean and unengraved — allowing the classic Orthodox design to take centre stage.
Its most unique feature is the opening bail mechanism — a discreet hinged clasp that allows the pendant to be added to necklaces with clasps up to 3.5mm wide. Ideal for pairing with heavier chains or charm carriers, this flexible bail design is rarely seen in Links of London pieces.
This pendant is part of the brand’s rarer spiritual and cultural charm offerings, drawing influence from traditional Russian Orthodox symbolism and personal storytelling. Whether worn as a statement of faith, heritage, or design affinity, it’s a powerful addition to any collection.
